Smart Production Control

AgiliOn Production

The Agilion Production solution from Agili Group supports discrete
manufacturers (Make-to-Stock, Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order)
and compliments the standard functionality of Busi

All integrated in
one package.

None of the below features are part of standard Microsoft Business Central, but only our Agilion Production solution.)

Automated Scheduling

With many simultaneous production orders and operations, the planning task quickly becomes unmanageable. With our algorithm-based scheduling, the system itself keeps track of which tasks are most important, based on parameters such as order priority, deadlines, delays, material availability, etc. You can either let the system make the decision, or you can let it guide you.

Time Registration

Requiring your production workers to register their time is crucial in order to capture accurate production cost and motivate the staff. Our Agilion Production solution supports registering actual time on each production order operation, allowing rates to be set up by employee, overtime, etc.

Capacity Availability during Quoting

Do you have enough capacity to promise a tight lead time to an important customer when quoting or taking their order? Our Agilion Production solution allows you to get an overview of the capacity you have available based on the importance of the customer.

Materials Availability during Quoting

Will you be able to acquire the materials you need when you promise a tight lead time to your important customer? Will you have the materials in stock and if not, will you be able to buy it in time for when it is needed?

Project Wide Cost Analysis

Standard Business Central does not support cost analysis for a manufacturing project that spans several production orders. This is a huge shortcoming as you risk venturing into unprofitable projects. Our solution helps you measure Estimated, Expected and Actual project cost.

Revenue / Cost Recognition

If your manufacturing projects are very long, accounting laws might require you to recognize revenue based on the progress of your project. This is not part of standard Business Central, but can be achieved at the click of a button with our Agilion Production solution.

Pre-Picking

Would you like to be able to pick for production orders that are expected to start in a few days, but not move materials into the shop floor just yet to avoid clogging? With our Pre-Picking functionality, your warehouse workers can prepare picks well in advance and move them to production when they are needed.

Supply Plan and Delay Control

Would you like to know which of your manufacturing projects are delayed well in advance of the final delivery date so you have plenty of time to adjust? Would you like to ensure that all materials for a given manufacturing project have a replenishment plan? Our Agilion Production solution will allow you both.

Product Configurator

Do you sell standard products that can be produced in many variants/combinations depending on the customer's wishes? Our product configurator gives your salespeople the option to configure product variants and options directly on the sales order line, so that BOMs and prices are created accordingly.

Capacity Loading of both Machines and Employees

Do you need to plan capacity load on both machines and employees? Standard Business Central only supports load on either machines or employees. With our solution, you can work with capacity load on both employees and machines independently.

Bar Code Scanners

Could your production benefit from scanning bar codes, serial numbers and lot numbers to ensure correct consumption and tracking? Our Agilion Production solution provides support for bar code scanners using both mobile handheld scanners and stand-alone scanners.

These are just the main components of our Agilion Production solution, but it contains automated BOM import, purchase delay control, production cost adjustments and more.

Below is a more detailed feature list. The list summarizes the main elements of the solution, but still many more smaller enhancements are included.

Priorities

Automated scheduling

With many simultaneous production orders and operations, the planning task quickly becomes unmanageable – even with a graphical scheduling tool (Gantt chart). As soon as the planner has created a plan, reality changes, and it soon becomes impossible to keep up. With our algorithm-based scheduling, the system itself keeps track of which tasks are most important, based on parameters such as order priority, deadlines, delays, material availability, and more. Each time reality changes, the system reacts and can suggest adjustments to what should be worked on in the different work centres. You can either let the system make the decision automatically – or simply use it as guidance.

Priority based picking

Picking suggestions for the inventory are based on the priority of production orders as it must be assumed that higher prioritized production orders will need components first. This also works on a per operation basis as some materials will be needed in the beginning of a production, whereas others are not needed until the later stages.

Pre-Picking

Components can be picked and prepared a few days before they are actually needed on the shop floor. When the manufacturing worker actually needs them, he can request the warehouse to deliver the components to his work centre. This ensures components will be ready when they are needed ensuring the production is not halted.

Time Registration

Time Registration

Ask your production staff to register their actual time on each production order operation step. This will allow you to analyse the cost and efficiency, follow up with your workers and motivate them to put it that extra effort.

Clock In/Out App

Make it easy for your manufacturing staff to clock in and out of the production order operations.

Overtime

Set up overtime rates by employee for more accurate profitability analysis and salary calculations.

Profitability Analysis

Manufacturing Projects
Cost Analysis

Get an overview of the total project cost of a manufacturing project broken down by cost category and split into Estimated, Expected and Actual cost.

Cost Dimensions on
Component Lines

Accurately break down all material and labour by cost category.

Revenue and Cogs
Recognition

Recognise the revenue of your manufacturing projects based on percentage of completion.

Purchase and Planning

Released for
Replenishment

When the design department is confident that a certain component is needed for the project, it can be released to be purchased or manufactured. This ensures we will only be ordering or manufacturing components that we are certain to be needing.

Supply Plan by Component

Do we have an acceptable supply plan for each component on the production order? Have we raised a purchase order or a production order that will ensure delivery of the component in time?

Delay Status

Is any part of our manufacturing project delayed? The project might consist of 30 separate production orders, but if only one of those are delayed, we have a problem.

Component Reservation Status

Is each component on the production order reserved against inventory? If not, we might not want to start that production order operation yet.

Quoting

Simulated Production
Order from Quote

Create a Simulated Production Order from the Sales Quote to set up different cost scenarios. Convert the Simulated Production order into a planned when the order is received.

Component Availability

When quoting for a new project, what is the availability status of each of the expected components? Will any of them be impossible to acquire in time to meet the requested deadline?

Production Order
Capacity Load Analysis

When quoting, how will the simulated production order impact our future capacity? Will we experience bottle necks?

Execution

Production Order Print Out

Even though our solution can be run 100% paperless, printing out the production order on paper can at times have its advantages.

Production Screen

On the shop floor, the workers need to see what work is coming up next based on continuously updated priorities of the production orders. The production screen can be installed in each work centre or simply function as a tool for the production manager to work with.

Auto Reserve Components

Automatically reserve all components of a production order against inventory to secure their availability before starting the production operation step.

Component Lines Import

Import component lines from your 3D/CAD program once the design department has the final design ready.

Serials Numbers on Production Orders

Automatically spread serial numbers and dimensions to all production orders that are part of the manufacturing project.
